RSM Canada promotes 11 new partners across Canadian offices

TORONTO, ON – (Jan. 4, 2023) – RSM Canada (“RSM”) – a leading global provider of audit, tax and consulting services focused on the middle market – is pleased to announce the promotions of 11 new partners in its Calgary and Toronto offices: Brandon Braganza, Chris Czorny, Newton DeNiese, Sean Foley, Mariya Honcharova, James Knight, Liam Neilson, Doron Neuman, Bhavin Oza, Cameron Rustad and Jamie Zuk.

Brandon Braganza, Toronto, consulting – Brandon is an experienced finance leader with a passion for advising clients through their transformation journeys. He focuses on helping clients’ finance teams navigate key decisions, inflection points and disruptive events, including finance visioning and strategy development and execution, finance operating model review, finance technology assessments and roadmap development.

Chris Czorny, Toronto, audit – With over 15 years of experience in the public accounting industry, Chris advises a broad range of privately held organizations and enterprises within the manufacturing and processing, consumer products, real estate and construction industries and helps business owners report their financial results in both IFRS and ASPE standards.

Newton DeNiese, Toronto, consulting – Newton leads the firm’s specialty finance and fintech TAC practice for North America. He advises lending and other financial service clients in the adoption of complex accounting, preparing to go-public, expected credit losses under IFRS and US GAAP. Newton has over 20 years of international experience providing auditing and accounting services to clients in the banking and financial services industries.

Sean Foley, Calgary, audit – Sean has more than 14 years of experience and provides financial, audit and consultation services to a variety of public and private sector entities. He focuses primarily on the private equity, hospitality, and energy exploration and service sectors.  

Mariya Honcharova, Toronto, tax – With more than 12 years of experience in public accounting, Mariya focuses on servicing North American private equity clients and helping them realize value. She has strong interest in the consumer products and technology, media and telecommunications industries.

James Knight, Toronto, consulting – James specializes in providing financial due diligence services to a diverse client base including private equity funds, corporate strategic acquirers, and publicly listed companies. James combines his middle market deal experience and broad industry knowledge to deliver valuable insight to his clients, assisting them achieve their strategic goals through M&A transaction activity.

Liam Neilson, Toronto, audit – Liam provides consultation services including financial accounting, audit, and compliance to a variety of financial sector entities. Liam has over 20 years of experience with financial institutions and his focus includes insurance, banks, and lenders. 

Doron Neuman, Calgary, consulting – Doron has over 13 years of experience providing M&A transaction advisory services to clients primarily in the retail and consumer products, industrial goods, and business services-focused industries. He specializes in financial due diligence, advising private equity and strategic buyers and sellers in the U.S. and Canada regarding the key issues and value drivers affecting the purchase price and expected returns of M&A transactions.

Bhavin Oza, Toronto, tax – With over 10 years of experience, Bhavin is part of the mergers and acquisitions (M&A) tax group and advises clients on a wide range of tax and financial issues relevant to their businesses. Bhavin’s focus is primarily on cross-border M&A transactions and acquisition structuring for private equity funds, public and private companies, and owner-manager businesses.

Cameron Rustad, Calgary, audit – With more than 13 years of experience, Cameron provides financial and compliance audit and consultation services to a variety of public and private high-growth early stage and mid-sized entities. He focuses primarily on technology companies while also working with several not-for-profit organizations and collaborates with SaaS, technology research, software development, and other emerging tech clients. 

Jamie Zuk, Toronto, audit – Jamie has extensive experience with both public and private companies in a variety of industries, including technology, life sciences including cannabis, and financial services. Working with many public company clients, Jamie is well-versed in International Financial Reporting Standards.
