About Rahul

Rahul is a Director in RSM’s Cyber Risk Consulting practice with more than 22 years of experience working in technology-enabled transformation, cybersecurity strategy and transformation initiatives across the public and private sectors. His experience includes enterprise technology assessment, roadmap, concept to implementation and value creation for clients in the financial and public sector including application architecture assessments, target operating model development and supporting organizations in aligning technology and cybersecurity initiatives to business capabilities and strategy.


Experience

Rahul has led and supported large financial institutions (BFSI, both buy and sell side) and public sector clients in creation of cybersecurity organization target operating model initiatives as well as business architecture, capability models, and industry frameworks such as NIST, FedRAMP. His work has focused on leading and supporting current‑state assessments, visioning future‑state with senior leadership and mapping practical, phased roadmaps. Rahul has supported initiatives across aviation, healthcare and federal government across Canada, US and EMEIA. Rahul has implemented the world’s largest World Bank funded digital identity program impacting 600 million residents, with an overall budget of $500 million, providing them with seamless and frictionless access to healthcare utilizing digital identity. Rahul also successfully led the modernization of Judiciary and architected the National Judiciary Data Grid with an overall budget of $135 million budget.

Prior to joining RSM, Rahul was the Managing Director at one of the largest identity management firms globally and led the identity and cybersecurity risk consulting practice for Canada and East US regions. Prior to these experiences, Rahul was the cybersecurity and digital identity public sector leader at a Big Four accounting firm in Toronto. He also served at this Big Four consulting firm for 12 years across multiple countries in Europe, Middle East, Africa, India and Canada. Prior to this, Rahul served within the federal government as a Joint secretary in the Ministry of Communications and IT and in one of the largest global investment bank for technology related technical and commercial due diligence vertical.

Rahul is a frequent speaker at professional forums to the CIO and CISO audience on the topics of bridging the gap between technology transformation and cybersecurity and enterprise modernization to support risk reduction and efficient transformation management.
