Matt Franko is principal in the risk consulting practice at RSM US LLP. He helps clients advance their cybersecurity programs by developing customized strategies to align security needs with business goals. He assists companies with risk and maturity, enterprise governance, and compliance. He is the cybersecurity lead for RSM’s consumer products industry and team lead for governance, risk and strategy based in the firm’s Cleveland East office.
Matt has more than 14 years of experience in cybersecurity, assisting clients across a variety of industries to advance on their maturity curve. A problem solver by nature, he enjoys collaborating with RSM’s security and privacy risk team to create solutions to complex client problems. His deep understanding of global security and privacy regulatory complexities give him the necessary tools to bring a first-choice advisor experience to every client engagement.
Matt brings a unique background to his role at RSM. He uses what he learned as a journalism major in college to listen to clients to understand their true pain points. He digs deep into every client issue, performing an exhaustive investigation into the underlying cause of their surface pain to help solve it.
The father of three boys, Matt co-leads RSM’s Family First employee network group. He is responsible for hosting events and organizing discussions to ensure that employees are making time for their families. Outside of RSM, he can be found cheering on the Cleveland Browns and coaching his sons in youth sports.
