Lou brings nearly 20 years of consulting experience in operations and strategy to his role as transaction advisor and national practice leader for operations diligence. He has performed over 500 diligence reviews across nearly every sector of the market. His industry specialties include insurance, industrial manufacturing and e-commerce. Before working in diligence, Lou spent 14 years in strategic planning, operations assessment, digital transformation and operating cost reduction.
He advises acquirers through the buy-side process as well as the sell-side process of the merger and acquisition life cycle. Using an operations-focused view, assessing the processes the company uses to transact business, he layers technology and other lenses to identify capabilities or issues within technology, cybersecurity and human resources that enhance or limit those operations’ functions. He places specific emphasis on helping his clients understand how the technology platform enables differentiation in product or operations, enables future acquisitions to onboard effectively and enables end-customer satisfaction.
He advises clients on immediately post-close, first 100 days, first-year and during-hold improvement opportunities to mitigate issues, realize additional value in achieving new revenue opportunities, reducing operating costs and improving scale efficiency.
