Jerry brings a global perspective to his role as chairman of the RSM board of directors. He has worked with leadership to expand RSM’s global capabilities and to harness technology that enhances the talent experience for RSM’s people, brings innovation and efficiency to how clients are served, and accelerates the firm’s momentum as the first-choice advisor to middle market leaders globally. He was previously chair of the board’s mergers and acquisitions and finance committees. He also taught advanced international mergers and acquisitions in the master’s program at the University of Minnesota and currently serves on the business school’s advisory board.
An empathetic leader, Jerry is well connected at the firm and leverages his network to better understand the issues and concerns of RSM clients and colleagues. His deep knowledge of firm strategy enables him to surround clients with the right people and skills to help clients make good business decisions. Curiosity and continuous learning drive his search for what’s ahead in the marketplace in order to build teams and capabilities that address both current and future needs.
Jerry cares deeply about the RSM employee experience and strives to help others in the firm achieve success. He views the firm’s work as a way to improve the lives of colleagues and add value for clients.
As a husband and father of two, Jerry knows you can’t have meaningful relationships with others—whether colleagues or family members—if you don’t put in the time. Although busy with his career, he prioritizes time with his children. Whenever possible, Jerry and his family enjoy life at their cabin in Minnesota.
