Daniel Weisz practices primarily in the corporate restructuring, recovery and insolvency areas for RSM Canada. He is a Licensed Insolvency Trustee and Chartered Insolvency and Restructuring Professional who works with debtors, shareholders, lenders and creditors to develop and implement strategies to address issues facing companies experiencing financial difficulties or other issues. Prior to working for RSM, he was a partner at a leading mid-market accounting and advisory firm before its 2008 merger with a national accounting and professional services firm.

Daniel has been the lead individual on numerous engagements, including proposals, restructurings, receiverships, bankruptcies and business investigations and as an Estate Trustee During Litigation. Daniel’s responsibilities in these and other engagements include advising lenders, creditors, debtors and shareholders, and other stakeholders on options available to them, and then developing and implementing the strategies necessary to achieve their desired goals. Daniel has written numerous articles on insolvency and related issues, and as an experienced public speaker, Daniel has given presentations and seminars to numerous lenders, as well as to the continuing education program at CPA Ontario. In addition, Daniel is a past president of the Ontario Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Professionals.
