Daniel graduated from Loyola University Maryland, where he attained his Bachelor of Business Administration. He has completed his Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification and the Society for Human Resources Management Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) certification. Daniel is also an active member of SHRM and the Chesapeake Human Resources Association (CHRA).
Daniel began his professional career as an executive recruiter, primarily focused on permanent placement for experienced accounting and financial professionals for Fortune 500 companies. He joined RSM in 2004, where he developed an external client recruitment practice for the firm. He then redirected his career into internal experienced hire recruitment focused on the firm’s primary lines of business—assurance, tax and consulting services. Daniel progressed through several roles with increasing responsibility, including campus recruitment. In that role, he designed and executed early identification programs as well as entry-level hiring forecasting and headcount management; human resources field support management, where he was responsible for 600 professionals from Maryland to Virginia; talent development; training.
In addition to his various roles at RSM, Daniel has been an instructor for several of the firm's training conferences. He also teaches as an adjunct faculty member at the University of Maryland’s business school. He is committed to community service engagement and has led several RSM-related events at the Maryland Food Bank, including initiating the “Take a Bite out of Hunger” annual giving day. Daniel has received numerous recognitions for his efforts, including RSM’s National Achievement Award for his community service activities and involvement and the national Career Advisor of the Year award through the firm’s National Achievement Award program.
