RSM US LLP’s Dan Meers is passionate about helping organizations transform complex data into meaningful business insights that support stronger performance, risk management and strategic decision making. Over more than 30 years, Dan has progressed from an internal auditor at a national bank to consulting, executive and partner-level leadership roles. He joined RSM in 2016 as a member of the national risk advisory team and now leads solution architecture within management consulting.
Throughout his career, Dan has led digital transformation, finance modernization, data, analytics and risk management initiatives across financial services, healthcare, energy, government and other sectors. His experience includes working with highly regulated organizations, helping leadership teams address complex reporting, governance, controls and performance challenges through data-driven solutions. His work with financial regulators and the intelligence community has provided a unique perspective on controls, risk management and large-scale analytics environments.
As an executive within Fortune 50 organizations, Dan advised chief information officer and chief financial officer leadership teams and provided transformational leadership for enterprise programs. He brings that combination of executive, consulting and operational experience to RSM clients, helping organizations align business objectives, technology investments and data capabilities to achieve measurable outcomes.
Dan’s financial services experience includes advisory support involving risk management, aggregate position reporting, assets and liquidity management, capital markets, alternative investments, enterprise architecture, and large-scale reporting and analytics programs. He has also led operations and reporting functions supporting a trillion-dollar asset management environment and has spent more than a decade supporting liquidity operations, operational data and analytics initiatives within complex financial institutions.
