About Alexa

Alexa W. Larson is a tax supervisor for private client services in Washington National Tax at RSM US LLP, advising ultrahigh net worth individuals on estate, gift and trust matters. She brings a legal background and advanced tax training to complex planning, research and client-facing solutions.

Experience

Alexa is passionate about helping clients navigate technically complex estate and gift tax matters with clarity and confidence. Professionally, she is driven by solving nuanced problems at the intersection of tax law, planning strategy and client intent—particularly where thoughtful structuring can preserve wealth across generations.

In her current role at RSM, Alexa works on federal estate and gift tax returns for ultrahigh net worth individuals, conducts highly technical tax research related to trusts and estates, and translates complex estate planning concepts into clear, practical illustrations for clients and internal teams. She also contributes to internal knowledge sharing by writing and presenting on new technical developments.

Before joining RSM, Alexa practiced as an estate planning attorney, drafting sophisticated planning documents for taxable and nontaxable estates, advising clients on gifting strategies, and analyzing real estate and business appraisals.

Away from the office, Alexa enjoys life with her husband, James; dog, Chloe; and cats, Chandler and Mayo. She is a dedicated coffee enthusiast and believes that most good conversations—and good ideas—start with a great cup of coffee.
