RSM's talent initiatives provide professionals with unique opportunities

Toronto – Within half a year of launching RSM Canada, the leading provider of audit, tax and consulting services focused on the middle market, the firm offers two unique opportunities to a select group of its people in June. As part of the firm’s commitment to recognize, engage and develop its people, the two programs allow employees to foster relationships within the RSM International network to deliver “the power of being understood” to its people through learning and development, networking and gaining international experience.

From June 10-15, Sean McNama, director of transfer pricing with RSM Canada, will be participating in the RSM Academy, a five-day technical and soft-skills program. The RSM Academy helps employees from a range of RSM International affiliate firms gain the skills needed to become first-choice advisors to their clients. The academy also strengthens collaboration between the next generation of leaders.

Later in June, four RSM Canada professionals from the firm’s audit, tax, consulting services, and operations teams will join the RSM International professional photoshoot in London, UK to become a representative of RSM, also known as “The Faces of RSM”. Leveraged across the globe, these photographs are used on the firm’s marketing materials – from digital to print, bringing authenticity to the brand’s marketing by showcasing actual employees. During their time in London, the professionals will be able to network with other RSM employees from all regions, build their professional networks and contribute to greater collaboration between RSM member firms.

“This is an incredible opportunity to learn and grow with my international peers, and I’m honoured to be selected for participation in the RSM Academy,” said McNama, “I look forward to meeting my colleagues from around the world, to exchange ideas and continue the dialogue long after the RSM Academy concludes.”

“At RSM, we understand that our people are our greatest asset,” said Rhonda Klosler, national chief operating officer with RSM Canada. “It’s important for us to acknowledge their contributions, and to invest into their careers. Recognition and engagement can take many different forms here at RSM Canada – whether it is through the RSM Academy, the Faces of RSM or any number of our other programs, such as our Suit Yourself dress policy, and our formal and informal learning and development programs.”

As RSM Canada’s staff embark on their unique journeys, we will be following them online. Join the conversation and follow along on Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn.
