TORONTO, ON – (Mar. 1, 2023) – RSM Canada LLP (“RSM”) – a leading global provider of audit, tax and consulting services focused on the middle market – is pleased to announce Hui Zhang as the newest US tax partner in its Toronto office.
Hui will focus on the growth and expansion of RSM’s tax services in the Ontario market and will work with the firm’s US tax team in Canada and the US to bring the full power of its tax service offerings to clients and prospects. A skilled professional with more than 10 years of US tax experience, Hui has strong experience preparing and auditing tax provisions under US GAAP, ASPE, and IFRS for publicly traded companies and private companies in various industries.

Prior to joining RSM, Hui assisted Canadian multi-national corporations with their US tax matters, including expansion into the US and navigating the numerous federal and state level taxes. Hui also led the implementation of various complex cross-border tax planning strategies, including how to effectively repatriate profits from the US to Canada and how to structure US acquisitions, mergers or divestitures for overall tax efficiency.
Hui holds a Bachelor of Mathematics, Mathematics and Chartered Accountancy, and a Master of Accountancy from the University of Waterloo. She is also a Canadian Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) as well as a licensed US Certified Public Accountant in the state of Illinois.
