Kurt Shenk is RSM US LLP’s national technology sector leader, overseeing the firm’s assurance, tax and consulting practices that focus on the technology industry. He is a partner in assurance services and, in 2018, was selected as an industry eminent for the technology, media and telecommunications industry. The Industry Eminence Program positions senior analysts to understand, forecast and communicate economic, business and technology trends that are shaping the industries RSM serves. 

Kurt has over 15 years of audit and accounting experience, serving private equity-backed, venture capital-backed and public companies in the software, hardware/semiconductor and emerging technology sectors. He has extensive experience with complex, fast growing companies and transaction support services for acquisition-oriented companies and private equity groups.

Kurt regularly participates in continuing education on business combinations, fair value assessment, goodwill impairment analysis, credit facility restructurings, complex equity structures, variable interest entities, consolidations, revenue recognition and share-based compensation.

Kurt is based in RSM’s New York office, relocating there in 2020 after 10 years in the Washington Metro offices where he started his career with RSM.

In 2024, Kurt was named one of Forbes Top 200 CPAs in America.
