Octavio Cabral is private equity assurance leader for RSM Canada LLP responsible for the leadership and management of the assurance line of business including strategy execution, growth and profitability of the practice. He is also a member of the RSM Canada’s executive leadership team.
Octavio advises on audit engagements primarily for companies that are planning to pursue initial public offerings, serving domestic and international public and private companies. He is well versed in the Toronto Stock Exchange and Venture Exchange listing requirements for capital pool corporations and has vast experience in taking companies through these going-public transactions.
Octavio leverages his specialized knowledge and experience around capital markets to help his clients grow their business. He has a passion for working with businesses to help owners bring their ideas to fruition.
As the private equity assurance leader, Octavio gives guidance to his team to be the first-choice advisor for middle market clients globally. Whether working with clients or RSM professionals, he enjoys helping people grow and develop in the work they pursue. He serves as a career advisor to many professionals within RSM Canada to pass along his knowledge and experience working with both private and public companies.
Within RSM, Octavio is a member of the firm’s Multicultural employee network group that encourages understanding of different cultures. Outside of the firm, he spent many years coaching youth baseball and now enjoys boating on Georgian Bay.
